Ongoing - Montessori Learning Routines

Hello Families,

I have sent out an email to all of you with some Montessori Learning Routines to try out. These are meant to be ongoing and are not expected to all be done by the end of the week. I have put the email below; however, the supporting documents for this will be attached in the email.

I can't wait to see what the students come up with!

Take care,

Ms. Carroll

Hello Families,

As we venture into our first days and weeks of Home Learning, we want to introduce four learning routines that support the ongoing Montessori programming at Lake Bonavista School. They include ideas to integrate into your Home Learning Routines as available, so your child can still feel connected to the Montessori principles woven into their daily life as a student, practice familiar skills and learn new things.

Please find attached 4 infographics, along with supporting documentation for understanding how they connect to the curriculum, designed by our teaching staff, for our students and families:

- Community Care
- Hands on Learning
- Learning with Nature
- Practical Life

As these are documents created specific to our school and learners, please do not distribute to families outside of Lake Bonavista School, or post on public platforms.

Learning Routines are ongoing. As your child explores them, we would love for them to document and share their work with us. They can do that with pictures, videos, writing, drawings, etc.

How can students submit work?

Students must be logged in using their personal information, using the Home Learning code sent before Spring Break, not parent login.

SeeSaw --> Add --> Post Student Work --> Choose Method --> Save (checkmark)

For the time being, please refrain from sending work through email.

We are in the process of creating an online platform that allows us to store materials and resources for families to access as needed. Please continue to watch for information regarding this platform to come soon.

As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

With gratitude,

Ms. Carroll
